MASA began with a question: why should you have to choose between an authentic street taco and the quality of the experience around it?
Our founders are Mexican, raised around the flavours and taco culture of Mexico City. We know the experience well: stepping out of a subway station, finding a taco stand on the corner and ordering something simple that somehow delivers an unforgettable flavour.
That authenticity is at the heart of MASA.
We set out to preserve what makes those tacos special—the recipes, the simplicity, the energy and the flavour—while creating an experience built around carefully sourced ingredients, consistent preparation, cleanliness and attention to detail.
We don't believe authenticity and quality should be opposites.
At MASA, they belong in the same tortilla.
How It All Started
MASA was created to bring the authentic flavours of Mexico to Toronto,, quality ingredients and respect for tradition. Every taco starts with the essentials: carefully selected proteins, fresh toppings and a tortilla that brings everything together.
We keep things simple, focus on every ingredient and let the food speak for itself.
